Bushnell's done it again
Clearest scope I've ever looked through for this price. At 350 yards you can put a quarter in a tree and I can tell if it's heads or tails. AMAZING

Worth the money
I got this scope at a great price and fast shipping. I wanted this for medium range AR build. The glass is not as clear as my son's Leupold VX3i. I've only had the scope out to 300 yards so far. The elevation knob is great, I really like the resettable zero and the adjustments are very repeatable so...

Great scope
This scope is very nice. The quality and clarity are superb and OpticsPlanet had the best price. Their fulfillment was slow but luckily I wasn’t in a real hurry. I haven’t had a chance to try it out in the field in low light conditions yet but based on what I’ve seen so far I expect it to have excellent low light performance. I will update this review if it is anything less the terrific.

I bought this scope when they first came out. I absolutely love it! I hunt in Alabama and have killed deer in the woods at close range and have killed deer at 400 yards. It is the best all around scope that you can buy.

Bushnell Elite 6500
Great scope. Works well for me and my deer hunting. Have friends that have this scope and they recommended that I try it. I did and have not been disappointed at all. It's worth the money especially when you can get it from a Optics Planet.

6500 Bushnell
Excellent scope. Glass is bright and clear in low light conditions and clicks are positive. Rugged and heavy built and would recommend this scope to a friend. Like the mildot reticle for range estimation and as hold over points.

Surprisingly clear!
This scope is clear through all magnifications! If looking at an under $800 scope, I am not sure you can do better. In my opinion compared next to my friends $1100 Swarovski z3 I think the bushnell is a better scope. Also compared side by side a vx-2 and a prostaff 5 look just fine until looking through the Bushnell. Both the prostaff 5 and vx-2 I own look cloudy in comparison to this scope. The wider range of zoom is very useful as this is mounted to a rifle that sees use in woods and field. Have many time and will recommend Bushnell elite again.
Pros:
- Clear
- zoom
- reasonable cost
Cons:
- None

Elite 6500 2,5-16x50
Surprised to the upside with this scope. very clear, bright with good edge to edge clarity. The eyebox was also very forgiving side to side, which was a major concern. I recommend this scope and think it is one of the better values out there given optics planet's good pricing and liberal return policy,

this is the best scope of this type that i own. (out of between 20 & 30) clear, accurate side focus & wind/elavation ajustment. very good brightness, even in low lite envirment as most of my shooting is done in the evening.

This is a scope you will never regret buying
I just got back from a SD varmint hunting trip. I have it mounted on a SIG 716 with a Timney drop in trigger, otherwise it's a stock gun. With Hornady 168gr AMAX and Hornady American Gunner 155gr BTHP, I can keep three-shot groups about 1/2" @100 yards. Out west in overcast conditions, a scope that can't handle colors well will ruin a hunt as you won't be able to differentiate dogs from dirt. This scope handles colors great. I could clearly see everything down range. When dialed up at 10power, the MIL-DOTs are right where they should be and that's where I left the scope as my shots were anywhere between 100-500 yards away. Long story short, my scope, while resting on a bipod, got blown over by winds that folded our tent and hit the rocky ground. No loss of zero! (it was mounted in a Leupold IMS MK2 btw). All day long I was dialing the windage and elevation knobs back and forth between the AG and the AMAX. At the end of the day I lased a dog at 418 yards and dialed the scope back for AMAX ammo. The wind had died to nothing. I put the round on target. This scope is super clear, and rugged and the adjustments are very repeatable. My only gripe is I wish the MIL DOTs were calibrated for the 16x, but that's ok. On my other SIG I have a MK4 Leupold LR/T and man, the clarity of this Bushnell glass is very close to the MK4 which is simply amazing! Worth every penny!
Pros:
- rugged
- well made
- Clarity of view
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Target shooting

A nice piece for the money
Having a 6+ to 1 zoom ratio is really nice for fast target acquisition or relatively short range work as well as stuff out there in the hundreds of yards. Got the Mil dot reticle for the hold-over/under points. It will mount on my heavy-barrel semi-match varmint AR. The only potential drawback to this scope is the fact that the reticle is mil dot, but the adjustments are 1/4 MOA per click. This doesn't matter much for target work, but it may confuse the longer-range hunter who may need to keep in mind some adjustment factors other than just counting clicks.
