Most Helpful Positive Review Great scope
I downgrade only slightly on brightness; however, that is not to mean it is not good. It is not on par with the double the price S&B's or Swarovskis. That said, it is an excellent scope with features and quality that rivals any competition in the price range. Don't let the "Bushnell" name fool you; this is a great scope. Pros: value for money-- features Cons: brightness

Scope review

by Eric, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on August 4, 2017
The scope is great, ordering from OpticsPlanet was a total pain. Took weeks longer than anticipated and in the end the FedEx shipment was handed off to USPS which of course made it impossible to track and take 4 extra days to arrive.

Great scope for AR platform rifles

by sc, from PA, United States Written on September 6, 2015
I like the reticle in this scope because it works well with the illumination shut off. The illumination is not bright like an Aimpoint red dot, but it doesn't have to be. In bright sunlight the black reticle is easier for me to see anyway, and very good at 1x on silhouette targets. The glass is very clear at all magnifications as well. The reticle illumination in lower light works very well for me, indoors and outdoors. The price point on this scope and the Bushnell 100% satisfaction guarantee of buying it back within the 1st year is tough to pass up for the features of the scope.

Used in tactical rifle class

by Borislav, from NY, United States Written on August 2, 2015
I ran this thing hard, including ripping it of on my LaRue mount and throwing it in the snow. It ran like a champ, never fogged up and stayed zeroes with the LaRue Mount. AMAZINg optic which can now be had for a bargain price if you look.

Love the quality & value of this scope

by JT, from TX, United States Written on July 20, 2015
Purchased this for an AR-15, Bravo Company upper, LaRue scope mount. Loved how easy it was to set up and zero. Tried a lot of optics (non-magnifying red dots & magnifying) before I selected this one. An expert friend recommended it, and he was right. This is an excellent scope. Also a great value for the price.

A Great Close to Medium Range Scope

by Jim, from IA, United States Written on July 19, 2015
I've been using one of these with a SFP BTR-2 reticle for about a year now and love it. The glass is great and the reticle is very versatile. At 1x I can shoot with both eyes open just like a red dot and then zoom up to 6.5 and make precise hits out to 300 yards easily. It will co-witness with my BUIS at 1x and stays out of the way with the longer eye relief. It took a pretty serious blow in a car accident and held the zero dead on. I've used it in the snow and rain, and from -7F to 100F without issue. This is not your father's Bushnell!
Pros:
  • great reticle for CQB and long distance shots
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • short/medium range

NC Surveyor

by NC Surveyor, from NC, United States Written on December 31, 2014
This scope has a true 1x magnification but the image has slight edge distortion at this low magnification setting. The glass is very clear with low chromatic aberration and the btr-2 reticle is well thought out. The illumination settings are very nice with the ability to turn it down low for low light use or crank it up for daytime outdoor lighting. I bought the second focal plane model because it I was ever using it for holdovers I would be maxed out at 6.5x. Time will tell if it will stand up to 30-06 recoil.

great for cqc and longer ranges

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on May 8, 2014
I use this scope at 1x for fast target acquisition and close range shots. This works very well while shooting with both eyes open.

I then turn the magnification up when I shoot at 300 yards and further.

The glass is clear and the reticle is perfectly designed for both fast target acquisition and longer range precision shooting.

Outstanding scope that has 6.5X zoom. Very clear optics and advantage of lighted reticle.
