SG5's Review of Bushnell Legend T-Series 15-45x60mm Spotting Scope
I purchasd this spotting scope due to some reviews that I had read and watched. I am a life long hunter and I shoot plates at a long range facility. We can go out to a mile and have multiple fan ranges well over 900 meters. I wanted a spotting scope with a reticle. This would allow me to use it during hunting season as well as shooting long range as a spotter. I do not believe that you MUST buy the most expensive equipment in order to be effective and have fun. This spotting scope was on sale, decent price andhad some decent reviews with a few cons nestled into reviews. I have nothing negative to say about the shipping, the packaging or the returm Optics Planet has been great.
The spotting scope works as far as the magnification and the focus are concerned, at least in the yard. The issue was the reticle focus. I had seen some negative comments about this, stating that the reticle focus did not stay where it was set, but instead crept back to its lowest setting. That is what I experienced. No matter how much I worked the controls, the reticle focus would not stay where I needed it to be. It always, rather quickly returned to its lower limit. This is deal breaker.
I gave it 2 stars, which is is very generous, wheras it probably should rate 1 star. This is NOT an optics Planet issue, but rather a Bushnell quality control issue. This seems to happen pretty frequently on the forums.
