Price to High for the lack of quality

by Joseph Caputo, from WA, United States Written on August 4, 2017
I only use this spotting scope for spotting paper target 25 to 75 yards. The scope is lacking in focusing quality and it is much to hard to locate targets. I'll be shopping for a spotting scope in this same price range that will offer much better focusing and a bit more field of view.
Pros:
  • VERY COMPACT AND EASY TO STORE
Cons:
  • HARD TO LOCATE TARGETS AND LACKING IN CLARITY
Best Used for:
  • SPOTTING PAPER TARGETS AT 25 TO 50 YARDS

Bushnell is good for me but........

by drapeau, Verified Owner from ZUID-HOLLAND, Netherlands Written on April 6, 2016
Last year I bought this Bushnell spacemaster for use on the range and this month I bought again a Bushnell spacemaster for my girlfriend.
We both are very satisfied with these scopes but there is one part of the scope rubbish!
And that is the tripod.
For both of the scopes I bought the Vanguard VS-86 tripod, Bushnell should use such tripods on their spacemaster scopes and they have a perfect scope!
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Tripod sucks

Great Scope for traveling birders!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on April 21, 2012
For its size and price this is a very nice scope. It's small enough to fit in your carry on and still have lots of room leftover.
Pros: light, durable, good quality, great eye relief
Cons: must remove eyepiece to carry in case

Spacemaster is compact wonder

by jthiking, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on November 14, 2010
Since the body of the spotting scope collapses and expands, it fits very well in most range bags. The legs fold in an innovative fashion also. It is very well made. Highly recommended.
Pros: Compact, quality, innovative design
Cons: None
Would recommend: Yes

Works well for me

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on June 22, 2008
I kept reading that nothing under 300$ would be functional, but this scope is working well for me. Granted I am a novice, so perhaps my standards are low. However, I have been able to view and digiscope birds effectively with this as an entry level setup. The light weight also allows me to get away with digiscope with a cheapie tripod. Due to the small lens I did have to buy a camera adaptor, though. Without it I had trouble getting the image in view, with the adaptor it's a breeze, though.
Pros: Low Cost, clarity of view, lightweight
Cons: Small lens
Would recommend: Yes

small and light

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on February 19, 2008
I thinks a little heavier would be better to keep the feild of vision steady- a little shakey- but for the price and magnification a good buy
