EZRA2EYES's Review of Bushnell Trophy Xtreme 8x56mm Binocular
Just because I'm stuck at home, decided to try out the Bushnell Trophy Xtreme 10x50s for some stargazing. That particular configuration is highly regarded for hand-held astronomical pursuits, yielding just enough power, but not so much as to require absolutely a tripod.
I took out a chart and noticed that Ursa Minor was perfectly located in the darkest area of the grounds surrounding my apt.complex. I could easily, in this rather primitive (yet very simple) set-up, get down to magnitude 8.5 stars, but in said constellation there are few, if any, deep sky objects to find. But even the usually noticeable shakes weren't much of a distraction since the stars were so sharp and focused. Try that with junky bins and you'll get what I mean.
My guess is that hunters would appreciate the brightness factor of these in twilight situations or in deep dark woods.
All in all, I was more than a little impressed by the precision that was obviously present in the optics as well as the overall rugged feel of the unit.
