I’m a big fan of Wilson Combat products and have used lots of them on my 1911s and ARs. I had some issues with this low profile safety. The large plunger/detent hole on the left side of the safety was not drilled to spec and the stock detent would not seat properly. The lever is made of hardened steel so enlarging with a drill was not feasible. I ended up having to sand down the stock detent to make it fit. Not a huge deal but not a drop in replacement either.

Also, the safety is EXTREMELY low profile and it very difficult to engage and disengage. I would not use this on anything intended for home defense or carry. The likelihood of disengaging the safety quickly in an emergency would be low. It’s very well made and fits nice and snug on the slide but there’s just not enough relief to engage and disengage reliably. I would leave the gun in the decocked but ready to fire state if I had it installed on a self defense gun.
