The TangoDown vertical grip is awesome high quality item. The QD is easy to adjust and secure on and off the picatinny rail. I needed this specific grip so I could remove the grip when using my BogPod tripod. The cap is removable and I store extra batteries in this space. I wrapped the batteries with small cloth to prevent rattling. The vertical grip is very nice, but very expensive almost $100.00, the grip is plastic, not machined aluminum or steel. I had a Knights Armament vertical grip on the AR-10 but the grip was too long and hit the tripod. That's why I needed the short/stubby and QD vertical grip, the TangoDown is perfect for this application.

The tripod is rock solid even with a very heavy DPMS SASS AR-10 on top. The locking legs are very easy to use, ball head works great. The rubber gun vice has a large opening allowing for large stocks and quad rails. The Swiss arca-rail makes fast changes between death grip vice and arca rail attachments. The tripod comes with a nice carry bag. I like the carbon fiber because it is more resistant to scratches than the aluminum painted version. The 1-pound weight difference doesn't matter to me. I wish the tripod came with sling attachments. Yes it has one leg with rubber for hand carrying, I want to sling the tripod over my shoulder for fast relocation during hunting, especially night predator hunting. The spikes are next to useless, you have to completely remove them, flip them 180, and thread them back in the legs. In the dark, after the legs are pushed in mud, horrible design, there's no way a hunter designed the spikes. Would I buy it again, Yes, I don't need the spikes for my hunting. I improvised a sling on the legs for quick response relocating during predator hunting.

WOW - This thermal scope is mind-blowing high quality, crisp, clear and detailed image, in total darkness or daylight. I have the scope mounted on an AR-10 in 7.62mm (308). The scope was very easy to zero, after bore sighting in my living room, one shot at 100 yards, moved the reticle to the point of impact and verified zero at 100 yards - perfect. The 2.5 base magnification is good for coyote sized targets out to 150 yards. I would prefer a little higher base magnification for the area I hunt, many of my shots are between 200 to 300 yards. The 640 resolution is awesome and when I increase the magnification to 5x the resolution drops to 384 which still provides a very clear resolution to make accurate identification and shot placement. Another very important point, the scope holds zero. I run this thermal scope with an external SightMark battery pack, AGM now offers this scope, AGM V2, with rechargeable battery packs. Would I buy it again, Yes. If I had known AGM had a new version coming with upgraded rechargeable battery packs, I would have waited and purchased the new AGM TS50-640 V2. Nothing can hide from you, the scope identifies mice in the field out at 100 plus yards. The detection of deer size animals out past 1,000 yards. I expect there will be a price drop since AGM has released new and improved versions of this scope. I highly recommend the AGM TS50-640.

I have several night vision and thermal scopes. Feeding them with even expensive disposable batteries provides limited run-time. The SightMark external rechargeable battery is the perfect solution. Low profile, so it fits on the rail in any position. You can place the battery on the top rail in front of the scope, the low profile keeps the battery out of the scope view. I'm getting 14 hours of continuous run time with the SightMark battery while running my AGM TS50-640 Thermal scope. I purchased two of the batteries, I have never needed the backup battery. The battery will also provide power to any of your mobile devices. I use an iPad to show what is on the thermal scopes sight, I will probably use the other Sightmark batter to run the iPad. The built-in quick attach/detach works great. As I sure you can tell, I highly recommend the SightMark Quick Detach Battery Pack.
