Review for
High Speed Gear Neo Chest Rig
I have this rig, which I bought in 2019 after looking a a number of different options. It is phenomenal. I wish I'd had this when I was on active duty in the 1980s. It doesn't take much to beat the lousy old LBE web gear we had back then, and this thing is 21st century. The MOLLE is good; the material is tough and easy to work with; the connection points are in the right places; the adjusters hold well; the neoprene padding is top notch; and the ergonomics (a word not much in use in the '80s) are outstanding. The neoprene padded lumbar belt with MOLLE and neoprene shoulder straps are very comfortable, which isn't something you hear about web gear very often.

I returned this because I ordered the wrong set - I meant to order the set with the trumb wheel adjustment for the front sight. But In the short time I had this set of fixed sights, I noticed that the detent / set pin on the front sight would not spring back when depressed. With a bit of fiddling and some WD-40 penetrating spray, it came back up. While fiddling, I noticed that the fit and tolerances of the parts were not as precise as the company name might have you believe. Finally, the rear sight thumbwheel adjustment wasn't very firm or secure. It's easy to see how something could brush against it and knock it out of zero. So I swapped these out for a similar setup from Troy Industries, which is just better stuff. Closer tolerances, tighter fit, better mech.
