Review for
Spikes Tactical Melonited Gas Tube
Was looking to black out a rifle. This was perfect for the job and functioned perfectly. This tube is noticeably heavier than the factory tube however not enough to deter even a low weight pou build. Its finish has held up fine for the first 250 rounds with no visible finish wear.

Although not necessarily a must have, it does make installing gas block much easier. If your barrel isn't dimpled or you're using a clamp on block it is a simple way to easily get the fitment correct much quicker and easier. Worth the money for the simplicity and using just a regular ball point gel pin I was able to wipe it clean for use on other builds in the future.

Love this rail!!

I really love the low profile of the rail and the quality! This rail is exactly what it should be, Lightweight, strong, and high quality. This is very low profile and if you're using an adjustable gas block that doesn't front adjust you will likely run into clearance issues with the screw. I haven't had any problems with the mlok screws contacting any surfaces below the rail but you can expect to feel the heat from the barrel with the limited space between the rail and barrel and gas tube.

Great tool if you have bits!

Very happy with the tool and case. Proformance is exactly what you need for mounting scopes and doing basic tasks where precision torque plays any role. The only con is the bit selection. Fortunately being a mechanic I have a toolbox full of bits to fit nearly anything I run into. For the average guy out of the box, this only had one bit to fit one of the three fasteners I bought it for and this was purchased to throw in the range bag as a dedicated gun tool so I don't have to rob the tool box. Bits can easily be found at nearly any hardware or auto parts store for cheap so plan on getting some if you're going to be needing anything more than standard flats for the most part.

The right tool for the job.

Anybody that works frequently with tools of any type knows the importance of using the right tool for the job. This is exactly the right tool for the job when it comes to the AR platform. Using a poor quality tool will often damage parts or round corners and make a simple job much harder. The price difference of this tool vs less expensive options is not worth the potential issues and damage that can arise from using a lower quality tool on a build.

Well worth the money!

If you're on the fence don't hesitate, you will be glad you did this in the end. The fact that it is tunable is a plus but the real value is in how much smoother it feels. The recoil reduction is negligible but the sound is noticeable and it really adds a high end feel to any rifle.
