So far not a pleasant experience. The magnification ring and eye diopter turn smooth and stiff, but not too stiff. The eye relief is good at 3.5 to 4 inches even on max magnification. The lenses are “meh”, nothing special, but not a lot of CA or distortion near edges. I was expecting more light from a 56mm objective lens and 30mm main tube. On the highest setting you can just barely see the illuminated dot on a really overcast day (like others have said), it’s not very bright. That’s the good/tolerable. Now the bad…. The eye box is touchy and not very forgiving. My biggest concern are the wobbly turrets. Both elevation and windage turrets wobble and can even be pulled upward or out/away enough that when turned they miss the turret “click” or adjustment. With downward pressure and turning the turrets they feel much better/more distinct, which then feel good for a hunting scope. Overall, between the “OK” lenses and absolute trash turrets (I’m not sure if they’ll even hold zero, let alone a box/tracking test), it’s not worth the $300 to $400 price tag. Compared to other $350 scopes available, I’d go with a different brand

This is an update from my previous review. After about one year, the optic is running great. The motion activation has worked perfectly. I'm still on the first battery I put in it with no problems (I'll change out once a year, just to be safe) The mount did loosen up, but it was between the mount and the housing of the red dot (you should always check that anyway.... my bad) A little lock tight, torque it to instructions, and 800 rounds later no shift/loss of zero. The mount does protrude and I have ripped my gear as feared. I can be hard on my rifles/optics. This thing has been thrown around, accidentally knocked on concrete and wood supports, shot in heavy rain, inside/outside, low light/bright sun. 90 degrees/-10 degrees, and it's still going. For $150 on sale, can't beat it.
Original review: Pros: All said and done, it's not a bad red dot. Reminds me of a poor man's CompM4. The body seems well made, the clarity or crispness of the dot is on par with other higher end red dots. LOVE that it uses a AA battery, i don't have to buy special batteries. And at 62,500 hours of estimated battery life, it's again on par with higher end red dots. Also love the "shake awake" or motion activated feature. For a home defense gun, this is one less thing to worry about under stress. The price was great too, these features are finally becoming afordable. If found on sale, you simply can't beat the price. Now the cons: it's big, long and he

Now the cons: it's big, long and heavy for a red dot, hopefully that translates to robustness. I wish the auto-off feature was delayed a little longer, say 5 or 10 minutes instead of 2 (personal preference). The adjustments are a little bit of a pain to access, but they are guarded by the tabs/ears so that's a bit of a good thing too. I haven't had any problems with the quick release mount yet that others have mentioned, but I've only got about 120 rounds through it. Also, if I do have problems with the mount I wasn't able to find aftermarket mounts that are compatible. My only slam on the mount right now is that it sticks out so far from the rifle. I forsee snagging it on my gear. All-in-all, so far so good. Definately worth it.
