This 500 grain beauty from Lyman has stood the test of time and is still a great heavy bullet for the 45-70 with black powder. I've used aluminum molds for a lot of pistol caliber bullets and they're just fine, but for something like this in my Sharps, you've just gotta go with the Lyman steel mold. Worth the investment.
