After looking at various 3x and 4x options, costs, and what I was trying to do, I selected the Vortex VMX-3T. I was looking for focus (old eyes), glass clarity, and durability. This is it. Very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.
If you need to go between unmagnified and magnified very fast, engaging this magnifier takes a few seconds.

Olight S1R II Baton Rechargeable Flashlight
This is my second S1R II Baton. Switch works perfectly so that you're not fumbling to get the desired throw. Clip works great on a hat on in pocket. While this light can be used tactically, this light is more general with tactical application. I have a Warrior X for my tactical light. Only downside to this light is that it can get lost too darn easily in a rental car with black interior.
