Sig Romeo 7 OpMod FDE

This is a GREAT red dot for ARs. First, the color is an excellent match to Magpul FDE. No 50 shades of FDE here. The 30mm objective is great, and offers a much better field of view over smaller red dots. In fact, while I was perfectly happy with the Romeo 5 (22mm objective) on my AR pistol, I removed it and sold it after getting this red dot. I’ll be putting a Romeo 7 on that firearm as well. The controls are well laid out, easy to adjust, and positive. Finally, I have the full size Juliet 3, and it will line up with the Romeo 7 using one of the spacer plates that comes with the Juliet.

It’s 40” long. My 40.25” rimfire rifle didn’t fit. Disappointed. My security shotgun did fit, so not a total loss. I needed a case for that anyway. So, not disappointed. Soft inside like you’d expect. Material and zippers seem durable.

It’s a shell holder, I get it. However, compared to the photo, what I got looks to be some cheap, grayish, rough textured material that looks like it will dry out quickly in the Colorado sun and lose its elasticity. I hope I’m wrong.
Defect in optic coating

There’s a spot in/on the outside coating of the lens that is obvious and distracting, that will not come off. 15 day wait from the time I ordered until it showed up in my mailbox. If the coating was good I would probably recommend as a low budget optic.

Arrived in perfect condition, no scratches or defects like indicated in other reviews. Engraving or etching is nice, visible, but not tacky or obnoxious. E were oils defiantly recommend. Part exchange is a one minute job.

These rail covers seem solid and durable. They snap in tight, and come out fairly easily if need be. No issues of them coming out on their own so far. I don’t think it’ll be an issue either. Nice directional texture to them.

This thing is sweet! Large enough to do its job, small enough to stay outta the way. I wanted the Magpul, but they’re not in stock anywhere. Glad I took a chance on this, I think I like it better than the Magpul.

SBM4 Pistol Brace

Solid pistol brace on my 1.125” pistol buffer tube. Assembled dry, had to tap on the last inch or so with a small hammer and a wood block. Used in conjunction with SB Tacticals Arm Brace Stop, made by Phase 5. The SB stop is half the price of Phase 5, but only available in black. Only complaint about the stop was it needed a longer 10-24 Allen head screw than was supplied. This brace isn’t going anywhere.
