Can't wait to test it. Just recently purchased it, but have read good things about it.

With my Savage 111 in 270, I get MOA, or better, from Remington Core-Lokt, and Federal 270 ammo. I expect at least as good from this. I plan on testing this out to 500 yards. I normally shoot within 300 yards.

Can't wait to test this ammo.

With the cost of center-fire ammo going through the roof, I shop for the best deals that I can find. In this case, the deal was very good. Out of my Savage 111 in 270, I get 1 MOA with Remington Core-Lokt. I expect at least that kind of performance from this Hornady American Whitetail 270 130 grain ammo. Look forward to it!

An Alternative to CCI SV

I'm an accuracy nut, former NRA Master class competitive marksman, and member of the NRA's 1600 Club. I no longer compete, but still enjoy shooting sub MOA groups with all of my rifles at 50 yards. I can no longer justify the cost of actual match ammo, like Eley Tenex or Match, so I use inexpensive options, like Federal Automatch and CCI SV. My Ruger Target model 10/22 will shoot sub MOA with both of these choices all day. The trouble is that the CCI SV has gone from around $3.25 just a couple years ago to over $4.50! All honest reviews of the Aguila Standard Velocity 22LR indicate that it is on par with CCI SV. Optics Planet had it at $2.79, so I bought a case. As I've only recently received it, I haven't had a chance to try it, but plan to. Over 50 years of experience as a precision class shooter has demonstrated to me that negative reviews aren't credible, as most shooter's aren't actually capable of providing a credible review. I will find out for myself if this Aguila ammo is truly on par with CCI SV. My Remington 40X will shoot sub 0.38" 10 shot groups with CCI SV, which is the diameter of the X-ring on an NRA 50 yard target. That's my standard. As an aside, probably half of the ammo and rifle reviewers on YouTube aren't trustworthy or credible, as they either have an agenda, or just aren't as good as they'd like you to believe. They will claim that a product produces, say 1.5" groups, when a credible reviewer will demonstrate sub 0.5" groups with the identic
