It does what it was designed to do, holds the Spark over your left or right eye. In my opinion it is very expensive for what it is but i am not going to build one myself so beggars cant be choosers. I am very happy with how you have quite a few options on which strap to tighten and loosen etc to get the monocular to sit exactly in the right position.

Overall very happy with the Spark. I bought it from Australia and was very impressed by how fast it got here, around a week by memory. Customer service was very helpful, answered my questions within a day.

Some things to keep in mind about the Sparks performance. You pretty much need the moon for it to be effective because it picks up on light that our eyes have trouble with. So indoors or outdoors without a moon and just stars you are not going to see into the darkness all that much without the built in ir lluminator. With the ir led on... amazing. I live in the country and my first walk I was amazed at how easy it was to spot animals, their eyes shine like two little glowing beads. Saw a possum and a bird that i snuck up on nearly within touching distance. Also got swooped by an owl but saw him coming at me from quite a distance because of the glowing eyes as a give away.

If you are hunting with this I would imagine this would be an excellent tool for spotting the animal at close distance then pairing it with a night vision scope on your weapon.
