I'll start off by saying I didn't buy this scope from Opticsplanet.com but have had nothing but good experiences with the many items I have ordered off here. I got mine from Meopta through their mil/le program. For those that don't know Meopta is the largest European Oem optics producer. Just like CZ, Meopta is a Czech company that puts out high quality products for great price but also has no marketing skills.. They actually have made the finalized/glass for several of the big dogs like Trijicon, NF, Kales and actually made scopes for Ziess in the past. They still sell the lines that were labeled under Ziess(R1 and R2 series of scopes). They are mostly known for their glass quality and reticles. They polish and coat their lenses inhouse and make an exception product that is unmatched by anything in its pricepoint. I run scopes of all brands and after comparing the few Meopta riflescopes. This meopta MeoSport R has noticeably better glass than a ViperPST. Much crisper image. The reticle is very easy to see even while their is nearly no light out without the illumination on. The illumination is simple and very fine center dot similar to a Leupold firedot. The low light visibility is very very good. The turrents are locking and very positive. They are quite tactile although not as much as something like a Midas Tac. There is no slop in the turrents nore any of the other adjustments.
