As usual, Optics Planet made ordering easy and shipping fast. This tool belongs in your shop if you do maintenance on legacy and new AR rifles. It provides two wenches for common barrel nuts, flash nut wrench, even a bottle opener. Built like a tank, you’ll never have to replace it.

As a proud new owner of a S&W 1854 Lever Action rifle, I want to optimize the rifle's utility. The iron peep sights worked great, even with my aged eyes, 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards was doable! But target acquisition was slow...I had an Aimpoint sitting around, so I mounted that, excellent, fast, two eyes open shooting was awesome, but I wanted more knowing I had a 150 yard rifle in my wands. So I got this Vortex 1-6 Strike Eagle. I have a Vortex 1-6 Razor mounted on a Springfield M1A Scout, now that's a handful of tactical power! I loved that scope, and wanted something similar, but more affordable, hence the Strike Eagle. I stayed with Vortex because I've had great luck with Vortex over the years. I haven't been disappointed with this selection, clear crisp view for easy hits out to 150 yards, but at one power I have a CQB fast acquisition, two eyes open fun powerhouse. The reticle allows me to use it as a red dot device, in low light situations I can turn on its lighted reticle feature. The lighted reticle isn't really visible in bright sunlight, but it's not needed anyway. The scope is light, I don't notice the added weight to the rifle, and I am no weightlifter. As usual, Planet Optics was price competitive, and shipping was fast.

This is a nice looking barrel that appears to fit the slide perfectly. Unfortunately the chamber appears very tight and as a result it is picky as to what ammunition it will feed. Sometimes the round won't chamber at all (not close completely), or the chamber round appears to chamber and the primer hit is too light. Cleaning the barrel with certain failed rounds helped them feed properly. Rounds that would not allow the slide to close completely would fire reliably in my XDm and M&P 9. Yes, these rounds are my competition reloads, but that are 100% reliable in three other handguns.

I have a Springfield M1A SOCOM that has a top rail. This mount allowed me to mount a Votex 1-6 Razor scope and have an acceptable eye relief, a very functional and fun setup. This is a sturdy mount which will last a lifetime and is delivered with all necessary hardware. I suggest you have/ borrow a tourque wrench and leveling tool for the assembly.

I was looking for a practical, rugged, but inexpensive knife for daily carry and use. No, not a fighting knife, not a outdoorsman survival tool, just a practical tool. It has to be inexpensive because I lose them to often. And life is to short for carrying an ugly knife, so it's gotta be man-pretty. So far this knife has worked great. I haven't had it but a month,so it would be unfair to you for me to rate it five stars. But if it stays in one piece for a year, I will rate it at five stars for the conditions and use I mentioned above.... If I don't lose it first.
