Update on my previous review

Written on Mar 04, 2025

Optics Plant exchanged the handguard and I am very happy with the customer service. The Faxon handguard was installed and it is one of my favorite AR handguards. Great quality and feel and is a great touch to my Faxon based 6 ARC upper build.

Like the look and feel of the handguard - Don't like that it arrived without any hardware!

Written on Jan 29, 2025

While I like the look and feel of this handguard, I was very disappointed that it arrived without any installation hardware. The instructions mention a locking plate and 2 bolts, so it would seem that these should have been included. As-shipped, the handguard is useless. I have a 6 ARC build that is on hold now. I reached out to Optics Planet for a resolution. Will update this review accordingly after I receive a response.

Good quality scope rings

Written on Oct 04, 2023

Used these scope rings to mount a 3-12x44 Buckmasters optic. Nice fit and finish. Torque specs clearly marked on bases and tops...nice added value.

Well worth the money

Written on Oct 04, 2023

This is my second purchase and review for this 3-12x44 optic from Sig. The first Buckmasters optic was mounted on my .308 Axis II and had performed flawlessly. The second Buckmasters 3-12x44 was mounted on my Remington 710 chambered in 7mm Rem Mag using Sig Buckmasters rings. 2-shot zero'd after bore sighting. Sent a box of Federal Fusion 150gr. down range. 2 5-shot groups at 100 yrds and 2 5-shot groups at 200 yds. Magnification adjustment is smooth and consistent. Elevation adjustments were reliable and spot on at 200 yrds. Went back to 100 yrds and set elevation back to 100 yard zero. Sent 5 more rounds into the center of the target. Scope held zero. Very satisfied with the performance of these Buckmasters optics.

Great optic for the money

Written on Sep 29, 2023

Don't let the low price trick you into thinking this is a low dollar piece of junk. It may be on the low end in price but it performs as well as optics i own at 3x the price tag. Nice, clear glass. Elevation and windage adjustments are positive and hold zero. The magnification lever is a nice feature. I am running this optic using SIG SAUER Buckmaster 1in Scope Ring Set (Medium, Black, SOA10034) on my Savage Axis II .308 zeroed at 200 yds. and it has functioned flawlessly. After 3 boxes of shells at the range and a few deer harvested during hunting season, it's still dead on zeroed. I ordered a second Buckmasters 3-12x44mm for my 7mm Rem Mag. that is currently under a Nikon Monarch optic. Should be a good test for the shock handling capabilities of this optic.

Not impressed

Written on Sep 25, 2022

Not at all impressed
Shooting an average of 1.25 MOA 5-shot groups @ 100 yrds with Wolf (100 gr.), Nosler Trophy Grade (129gr.), and my own hand loads (123gr.). This Fort Scott stuff was all over the paper. Not just a little...but a lot. Ejected brass was also landing in different spots. Went through two boxes and was very disappointed.
