Super lightweight, simple and clear

This scope is great for fast work under 50. I chose the firedot version. The dot is daytime bright. I used the scopes internal leveling feature when mounting which was convient. I also used this feature when zeroing. Edge to edge clarity is excellent with just a touch of distortion at the edges on 1x. Turrents are just okay. Scope is about 15oz and is easy to get behind. You see dot, you shoot. Dots size is perfect for short work. Its a touch big for precision work but thats not really what this scope is for.

An interesting approach to a commonly shared annoyance

This was tested in rifles using carbine and rifle length buffer tubes. When used on a rifle length gas system and in a rifle buffer tube, the combination yeiled a faster, sharper recoil impulse when compared to a rifle buffer (H1) and rifle length spring. The system is damped. No spring noise. My particular ejection pattern was at 2-3 o-clock position compared to 3-4 with a standard rifle length setup. I'm shooting 77gr OTM. Its a smooth system. Lubricate the spring guide after you assemble. Make sure the bcg contacts the buffer system with mild pressure. You can remove the buffer tube retaining pin BUT you dont have to.

Just good enough for the money

This a mount that, on balance, is inexpensive and lightweight. The 30mm combo weighs 6.03OZ. The mount has rich, satin black anodizing. Ring width is 16.5mm. There are no sharp edges on the rings or base. On the underside of the base there are three picitinny lugs flanked by some weight reduction pockets. The mount includes a combo Torx wrench. Torque spec for the base screws is 65 inch pounds. Torque spec for the rings is 28 pounds, stated in the manual. The aluminum used is 6061. I cant comment on durability but I will share an observation. The mount is made from 6061 and has a really thin forward extension. The extension floor is 4.2mm, extending 37.1mm to the centerline of the ring. There is a 5.1mm support bridge under it that extends about 24mm from the front of the pic base. Its not alot of support. Overall a decent mount at a decent weight.
