I have not even mounted the dot. I just got it and turned it on. This is definitely the worst looking dot. The word crisp will never be heard in a conversation about this dot. Its just a starburst and an uneven one at that. Viridian's green dot are half the price and are completely crisp dots. Im not even sure how you make a dot this bad. I dont even have a red dot that looks this bad. I bet the hundred dollar airsoft optics are better. It does feel well made but the dot itself is horrible. This is a $50 optic made of titanium making it $400. It does seem usual for self defense but if you're looking for precision accuracy this is definitely not it. This is the 2nd holosun I own. This will definitely be the last.

With the crazy prices of accessories this is an ok option. I just received it yesterday. I love the look and thinness. However this is the heaviest thing I have ever put on a handgun. If it ever fails you can throw it at someone and they will definitely go down. When you hear it described as a tank, the second you feel it in your hands you will understand. To anyone saying it doesnt work out the box, you have to remove the piece of plastic from the battery. The only cons i have ao far are the activation buttons. They are horrible, like the worst ive ever used. They are so hard to press. I prefer the these kind of button but i dont want to have to use 100 lbs of force to ise them. Also the rechargeable battery just means I have to keep up with the proprietary charging cable. Regular batteries last forever in lights and red dots. Theyre cheap and easy to replace. It does fit in a holster for a TLR1 but with kydex its just friction retention no click. So I imagine other duty type holsters would work. If it continues to work Ill be happy with this purchase.
