A wonderful US made product at the right price point. The ultra-slim handguard makes a nice functional addition to my build. The barrel nut system is simplicity in itself. It doesn't get in the way of the gas tube. 90% of the time you will not need to use any of the included shims because there is only a 10% occlusion area, but they supply it just in case you do need it. The screws for the hardguard and the extra section of rail come with thread lock on them ready for use. The only way they could have made this any more convenient is supply you with the appropriate barrel grease, but I think that would be asking too much without making them raise their prices.

My only quibble with this product is the anti-rotation solution. The way they solved it is by having part of the handguard extend over the sides of the upper receiver by about 1/2". If you ever have to put the upper back on a vise, you'll need to either take off the handguard, or modify your vise blocks, or use the less common type of vise block that goes into the upper receiver.

This is my second build using this product. On my first build, I was concerned that the handguard would be so slim that handguard would get hot quickly because of its proximity to the barrel. After a long hot day of first sighting, and then just having fun shooting, I can say that concerns were completely unfounded. I believe that the cuts and groove patterns in the system provides great cooling.
