Great brace for the price

Written on Mar 26, 2022

I really like the look and function of this brace. I really appreciate the qd points on it. I personnally do not have the the set screw adjusting the length to something that you can shoulder but that is mostly due to having the brace installed on a 300 blackout di pitsiol, but on a 5.56 pistol it would.probably stay where you set it to.

Great trigger and hammer combo for the price

Written on Mar 26, 2022

This mil-spec trigger feels great to me. It works every time, it's not very stiff, it breaks really crisp and clean. I don't own any drop in triggers or anything like that but I would imagine that this would almost be comparible, I cleaned up the sharp edges a little bit where the trigger and hammer interface and wow! Thank you CMMG!

Works great with 300 blackout

Written on Mar 26, 2022

I used this on my 300 blackout with an 8inch barrel in low light conditions and did not feel the concussion and most importantly did not see any flash! This seems to be great, I will definitely get another for my 5.56 so I can compare. I believe it will be a huge improvement over my vg6 gamma that I currently have installed. You do need the mach adapter for this which will come in handy if you ever plan on running a suppressor.

Save your money and buy something better

Written on Mar 26, 2022

I had the necked down portion of a 300 blackout shell get wedged in the chamber so hard I cannot get it out. The barrel nut seemed tight, the fore end was loose on the barrel nut which led to me inspecting the barrel nut after first shooting it. 60 rounds after inspecting the barrel nut is when the crippling malfunction happened. The compensator also had rough edges and did not seem to tame the recoil much at all. I replaced the barrel with an arrow precision, and the compesator with a linear compensator from kaw valley and I no longer seen any muzzle flash from full power 300 blackout loads in low light conditions. The lower parts kit worked fine, bolt carrier group seems fine, the gas block had a screw installed that stripped out upon removal and I accidentally drilled into the barrel when trying to remove it which makes me wondering if they tempered it correctly, I'm gonna guess that they did not. In short, if you want a "cheap" complete 300 blackout upper parts kit, save a little more money and but aero precision, I think it was $80 more than this kit but it may have been minus the bolt carrier group, but from my experience I would not buy this kit or anything from cbc ever again. The poor quality of this kit seemed almost dangerous, at the least it was disappointing. It was so bad I did not try to contact the company with any issues I had because I personally do not believe that they are capable of producing a quality barrel.
