Precision and durability combined

Written on Sep 06, 2019

I mounted this on an M1A to be able to switch between thermal and standard rifle scopes quickly. No deflection or movement is detectable in any direction. I have an optic dialed in at 600 yards, there was no change in poi after repeated mounting, dismounting. The machining is flawless and it is a TRUE return to zero mount. Bobro is the premier qd mount manufacturer and their products are some of the finest available to shooters

Do your research first

I cant believe this has been released by garmin. What a pos. The screen resolution is horrible, about as good as a 10 year old flip phone. Satellite images are completely unrecognizable in known terrain. If you are used to looking at google maps satellite views on your phone, this garmin unit is going to be extremely disappointing. IT DOES NOT COME LOADED WITH BIRDSEYE. You need to manually select and download a 2sq mile(or less)section one at a time to the devices internal storage. The software is constantly freezing, and unreliable. Purchased maps cannot be viewed on your cell phone , only on a pc if it has garmin software installed AND IS PHYSICALLY PLUGGED INTO THE GARMIN UNIT. So planning and reviewing trails is not possible without the unit in hand, even after spending $100s on additional maps. There is no online support for the 66i. It is phone only, call in automated systems and wait for a tech to return your call. The weather features are not available unless you're synced to a cell phone and have full cellular service. Which is absolutely stupid, why bother with the Garmin if cellular is available? Real world battery life is 8-12 hours, controls are counterintuitive and erasing data is frightening, easily done accidentally. Want to lose your trail back to camp? Me neither. Most of the included apps are useless and belong in a fitness device, not a gps unit. I do not have one positive thing to say about Garmin. I highly recommend getting a sat phone vs trusting t

Probably the best break

I had this installed on a Remington sendero sfii 300wm. I would estimate it cut the recoil down to the 6.5cm/308 parameters. No longer "lose" the target in the scope after each shot. This is one of those products where you truly get what you pay for. Highly recommended 87 times, like beans in chili.

Prepare for disappointment

At base magnification the clarity is perfect and on par with any other scope in and above this price range. The illuminated reticle is definitely daytime bright and rivals aimpoint in brightness and has no edge bleeding at max power.Start cranking up the magnification and the image quality is absolutely horrible. The parallax adjustment seems to be a dummy knob and doesn't offer much help in getting a clear image at 16x. The scope looks and feels cheap, and is what I would expect in the $200-$300 range. This is not my only Trijicon optic, but if it were my first, I would probably steer clear of all their products based off my impression of this one.

Very durable, heavy duty

I bought this to mount on an Eberlestock x2. The first thing that stood out is the thickness of the material. This is a very well built scabbard, comparable to one to be used on horses. There are plenty of molle loops on the back for a myriad of mounting positions, & drain holes at the bottom in case water or snow gets in the top..This is definitely the way to go for a hunting pack, I have never been overly confident with most packs drop down rifle boots, they just dont offer the protection like this Eberlestock. My son has a Howa 1500 hvy barrel with a 50mm obj. Scope in the scabbard and it is a good fit.i have it 4 stars instead of 5 because at this price point it should have some type of hood that folds over the end of the stock.
