Poor quality and improper handling.

Tool arrived with scuffs, dings, and the receiver shaft has a small ridge that runs its length, tool/not round. Even after removing the burs cleaning up the dings and lubricating liberally, the out of round shaft scared the interior of my upper where the bolt resides. The tool was properly packaged, which leads me to believe the tool was carelessly mishandled at the manufacturer. So many dents and dings can only be inflicted by throwing these tools, unprotected into a large parts bin.

Wilson Combat Bolt Carrier Assembly
High quality and butter like surface polish, but unreliable operation. This BCG was tested in three different rifles and it is unreliable in each rifle tested. Some paperwork should be provided with the BCG on how to best tune a standard AR platform rifle to operate reliable with teh BCG would be nice. The reason I gave this a rating as high as three stars is because I'm optimistic that one day I'll figure out how to make this work reliably in at least one of my rifles. I have reached out to Wilson Combat for support and they have not yet responded.

Better than expected.

Easy access, positive lock/unlock, smooth performance and no gas-blowby to the face. To say I was pleasantly surprised by how good this charging handle truly is would be an understatement. I typically run Bravo Company MFG BCMGUNFIGHTER Charging Handles due to their proven track record, but I see a few more Wilson Combat Ambidextrous Charging Handles in my future.

WOW... This bolt is so smooth it's picking up warm stick of butter. The Wilson Combat NIB BCG was the last component needed to complete a new 6.5 Creedmoor build that was just finished and it's performed flawlessly from the very first shot. After a day at the ranch, this bolt shows no signs of wear, and cleaning took little more than disassembly and a good wipe down. NO carbon fouling on or in the bolt, including the gas tube interface. After nearly 100 rounds down the pipe the bolt still looks brand new!
