These are super well made the lid can be tucked into the pouch to leave them open. This is exactly what I was looking for.

It doesn't really have any retention, but I always carried comp-tac holsters on duty and I really like their stuff. I don't think it has enough retention for rolling around on the ground or anything, but it is perfect for the range.

It is "hinged" in the middle so it works well on a belt.i like how it is fully enclosed on the bottom so it will keep the mags cleaner. It is soft so if you want to rapidly return a mag into it, you should look for a more rigid option.
