I highly recommend this ghost ring replacement from G&G. I installed this on a Century Arms VSKA Trooper rifle. It drastically improves your acquisition time over the standard slit AK rear sight. In addition, it allows you to see more of your peripheral vision through the ghost ring which helps in target identification. If you can only upgrade one thing on your AK rifle, it should be this. As another reviewer mentioned, I won't even bother with putting an optic on my rifle because of how effective this ghost ring sight is.

This overmolded furniture set in Ghillie Green is a great balance between practical improvements and cost. Both the pistol grip and hand guard give excellent grip on your hands, even when wet. This set, in my opinion, blends together the ability to attach different accessories to your AK and keeps it simple. I give this set 5 stars for what it is, which is modernizing your AK in a way that stays in line with the traditional AK look. If your looking to have extended reach on your rifle, and a variety of accessories, than your better off looking at something from RS Regulate, Texas Weapon Systems, Zenitco, etc.

I have not tried shooting a red dot on the upper handguard picatinny rail, so I can't comment on holding zero, but judging by the loose tolerances of AKs, I would assume that it will be partially impacted by how tight fitting the upper handguard is on your AK once you have the buffer tube locked in. I have a VSKA Trooper, and it does slightly shift in place on the buffer tube, which makes me reluctant to use it.

Lastly, I will say the Ghillie Green color is great. It is a darker, grayer than OD Green, in my opinion, and has a great textured look that comes out to be a unique camo pattern. Its a nice change from FDE and goes very well with an AK.

If you want a more comfortable, practical setup for your AK, that keeps that cool traditional AK look, I highly recommend this set, especially at the cost!
