SIG SAUER Starter Punch, 3mm Cup Tip Arm
If you remove the slide pins in the Sig classic line of firearms, some of the pins seem to have been installed for life. They are difficult to remove. The starter punch is shorter and stronger to "help" the pin out of its position. Using a longer punch increases the chance that the punch could be broken while hammering the pin out of its position. This punch is better suited for starting the pin on its way out. Definitely a tool to have in your kit.

Sig 3MM, Cup Tip Long punch is designed for proper removal of the pins holding parts together in the slide. This tool allows the removal of the pins without damage to the slide. A flat faced punch will move and possibly damage the slide. This is not a good thing when working on a customer's firearm. It is the right tool for the job.

As a Sig Armorer, these tools are absolutely required for disassembly and assembly of the Classic Series of Sig Firearms. Can you get by without them? Sure, but you will damage the firearm in the process and replacing some of the parts that were damaged by use of the wrong tool will cost you far more than this tool. It is well made, and costs less than other sources for exactly the same product. Optics Planet has come through again as the best source for quality tools
