Other than the FireSafe, it's a nice knife. Like the size and shape. Feels good in hand. The FireSafe however take alot of getting used to. Would prefer to have a 2nd option for opening the knife should the Firesafe fail. The FireSafe "disk" just feels flimsy.

Black Label Checkmate - Great budget knife

My first Browning Black Label knife. Very impressed with the fit and finish. A little big and heavy for an EDC but I'm mainly a collector so not an issue for me. Only minor criticism would be that the liner lock tab protrudes beyond the handle a bit much and I can see that it could start biting into the fingers after awhile. Really like the Optics Planet exclusive silver blade. Seriously considering getting the std prod versions now as well.
