A must-have addition to the 1x42 reflex

I've used the larger kill flash on ACOGs, but this is the first compact one I've tried. The view through the sight is disrupted slightly, but worth the trade off in my opinion. One interesting thing I don't think I read in the description is that this cover is threaded and screws into the front of the sight. Makes for simple installation, though I need to check to see if it loosened up over the course of a couple hundred rounds.

I purchased this as a recommended add-on for the ARMS mount. It was easy to assemble - just make sure to swap in the extra-long bolts (supplied with the mount) to make sure everything fits properly. With the mount and this spacer, my BUIS co-witness through the 1x42 reflex. Works as advertised.
Typical ARMS excellence

I used this mount with a 1x42 reflex and the ARMS spacer. Use the extra long bolts (supplied) to ensure a tight fit through the spacer. It requires popping off the clips, but a small flathead takes care of that. When mounting on the rail, be sure to have both throw levers lined up with available slots. If the lever won't close, you may have to move it up or back one slot. I haven't tested how well it holds zero, but based on previous experience with ARMS products, I suspect it will be on zero or no more than a click or so away.

Trijicon 1x42 Reflex Sight
I've used Trijicon ACOGs in the past (along with EO-Techs and Aimpoints), and this is a winner, hands down. Not only is the 42mm objective easy to use with both eyes open, the fact that batteries are not required is a HUGE plus. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is that this is not available with a green or red dot. The amber does not contrast as much as the other colors.

SIG SAUER P226 9 mm Threaded Barrel
As expected, the barrel dropped right in (you need to remove the thread protector first). Accuracy was as good as the barrel that shipped with the gun. Reverse threaded (against the rifling) so it will keep tight, though I did have to re-tighten it several times over the course of a 200-round session. Maybe some lightweight thread locker if a suppressor isn't going to be used. Overall, I'm very pleased.
