Excellent improvement over the original handguard. Not for purists. Finish is very nice, charcoal matte, it will definitely differ from any original AK finish (not a big deal). Overall, mil grade quality. Now, the installation: I installed it on a milled Arsenal. Any muzzle device has to be removed before install. Two screws that stick out from the back of the handguard have to go, don't worry, they don't hold anything. The lug that goes in the receiver slot needs to be shimmed on the top, thin sheet metal worked well. Before the permanent installation the cleaning rod groove at the back of the handguard needs to be deepened, about 1/16 to 3/32, I removed a little at a time then tried the fit.The rest goes according to the instructions. The set screws (shiny ones) should be tight, Loctite doesn't work near the barrel in my experience.Took 40 min and two beers. Hopefully this will be helpful for someone.
