Well, I guess I will be the first to rate this. Earlier this year, I bought the Vltor 5.3oz buffer and tried pairing it with a standard pistol buffer tube. That was a no go. I should of read the description a bit better on it. Now, I finally have my hands on the Vltor buffer tube. It is well made and I can finally pair it with the Vltor buffer. The extra length is a plus. I just need to run a few boxes of ammo through my AR pistol to see the ejection pattern.
I don't really know what the complaint about this carry handle is about. I just got mine and I think the finish is pretty good. I have installed it onto my ar15 and it clamps down firmly...no wiggle or anything. No sharp edges. I do understand the windage knob moving when switching between aperture. It is most likely do to possible loctite used. I have tested my UTG one and it also moves. But, I am thinking that if it isn't there, the aperture will just flop around due to recoil. regardless, it shouldn't make that much of a difference.
I would show pictures of the carry handle I received, but Optics Planet doesn't provide that option. Overall, I would consider this a good option for those on a budget.
I just recently acquired a ksg and wanted a small decent case to store it in. The ksg fits perfectly into it. There is enough room on the front for molle pouches, but no molle on the back side. Despite the cheesy patch, that came with the case, the stitching is good and provides adequate protection.
I have had the mil dot version for quite a while now on my 5.56 rifle. Works quite well. I am still using the same battery that came with it. I have a few utg scopes with various magnifications on a few heavier hitting rifles. Still hold zero under recoil. Im not a big fan of the 36 different colored reticle, but it is what it is. I think without all that, the scope could be a bit lighter. The 1x isn't really a 1x. Maybe more like a 1.2x. Overall, I am pleased with it.
Having past experiences with success on utg scopes, i decided to add another one to the collection. This scope is used on a 1941 mosin nagant and has held up to recoil. Very clear glass indeed. I do like the turrets on it. Very large, easy to read and can hear positive clicks. Only real con i can say about this scope is that the red and green knob can easily be bumped on. Gave it a 4 star because of that.
Just got this and put 50 rounds through it in my lr308. Holds zero? Yes. I was very impressed. Mil dots are a bit on the thicker side, but will do just fine. Took me a while to zero it at 100 yards as I am still learning to settle the reticle after adjusting it. It is about as zero I am going to get until I can afford more ammo.
