Very good pistol mag holder

Written on Jun 24, 2022

Had this for over two years now so I thought I would do a review. First of all the quality and construction are top notch. I was a little skeptical on the exspoused cords. I was also concerned about them catching on everything while in transit. Well, I am happy to write that the double pistol taco is an excellent product. It has been very durable and reliable for quick pistol reloads. The elastic cords have held up well and has not been an issue catching on anything. I ours highly recommend this product.

Excellent compensator and muzzle break

Written on May 26, 2021

After having this for over two years, I can honestly say that is is my favorite muzzle break. I have the titanium version and it is extremely light weight. This product came with a sim which was nice. Tuning it was not hard and it looks really cool on my Rock river arms operator. This was a big upgrade over the stock muzzle break. I also replaced the hand guard and gas block with titanium parts to lighten the weight. In actual use, the barrel jump is not even noticeable. The flash is minimized also. It’s pricey, but is a quality upgrade that I thought was worth it.

Great for dry firing and misfire practice

Written on Feb 15, 2021

These dummy rounds work great when I’m doing a function test after repairs or modification. I can also practice dry firing during my home drills without damaging my lower. These also eject when you pull on your charge handle like real ammo. The blue anodizing is good for identification so as not to confuse live versus dummy rounds. I would certainly recommend these for practice and also practicing misfires while shooting drills at the range. Just put them in randomly in your mag. My only concern is the durability of these rounds. They are made of aluminum and I already have wear and tear after a few months of use. Also they should give you at least six of these. Overall, it does its job well. I would recommend. Happy shooting.

Barrel nut is poorly designed.

Written on Dec 26, 2020

The hand rail is good, but the barrel nut that attaches to it, is poorly designed. My barrel nut only has two pins and it was unable to torque the barrel nut without slipping off. Not sure why you would design a barrel nut that is unable to tighten properly. Good thing that I was able to return it.

Takes the fear out of drilling holes in your barrel

Written on Nov 28, 2020

I have a older rock river rifle that I was updating and decided to replace the old clamp down gas block with something lighter and smaller. My barrel did not have dimples and I wanted to make sure that everything lined up nice and straight.
After watching several videos and researching the pros and cons of dimpling your barrel, I decided to purchase this gas block to complete this task. First, you must make sure you purchase the correct size jig for your barrel. Mine was .750 if I recall. Second, you must measure the distance between the screws if your going to dimple more than than one hole. I wanted to be able to change different gas blocks for the future, so I only made one dimple closest to the upper receiver and not the one towards the muzzle.
The SLR jig was easy and simple to use. Read all the directions and take your time. I used a brand new drill bit and hand drill. I would highly recommend this product. This is one tool that pays for itself in one use.

Extremely cheap

Written on Aug 20, 2020

I needed a good upper block to remove a older quad rail from my Rock river arms operator. This block did not fit very good and I had to use additional clamps to distribute the pressure on the portion that was not in the vise. These quad rails have lock tight so I really needed a good fit. I did manage to free everything up without any damage to the upper or rail. In conclusion, it’s doable, but I would spend more money next time and get a reaction rod.

Good wrench

Written on Aug 07, 2020

Used this to remove a RRA jam nut to release a quad rail. After carefully heating hand guard with heat gun, I was able to carefully release jam nut on a very tight nut that had lots of locktite. My only concern would be to maybe have a longer wrench for more leverage, otherwise it work and never slipped in use. This tool is a keeper and a good deal.

Cool brief, but very limited space

Written on Mar 24, 2020

I needed a small carry that would fit next to our jump seat without interfering with getting in or out of cockpit. This is the smallest laptop bag from 5.11 and it holds just my bare essentials. My laptop, stream light flashlight, passports and documents required for my job. It is pretty rugged and I imagine that it should last me many years. The only major drawback is the size, if you carry a lot of stuff with you, I would recommend the larger versions.

Very solid machined product from Strike Industries.

Very solid fit and great workmanship. FDE color is pretty close to my Geissele charging handle. The threads fit perfectly in my Cerro lower. I would recommend this product for a anyone who wants a high quality product for their build.
