Great optic for the price. The turkey plex is an all around great reticle for an AR or hunting rifle. Very light. Low profile. Very positive turret adjustments (MOA). Glass is very good for the price. Some distortion will distract serious (ex, three gun) shooters but is perfect for the average rifleman. Much clearer, brighter, and less distortion than the comparable Vortex which I replaced. It is not nearly a true 1x. But for this price that's expected. I love Leupold scopes and OP (thanks for the sale and coupon)!

I purchased two of the SF FFP model BDC distance lock scopes, one from Optics Planet and one from another online retailer. Both had what appeared to be excessive epoxy resin on the optics joints internal to the scope housing. It was so bad that the glare off this material was distracting when looking through the scope. While glassing, it looked like something was peeling or bubbling off around the perimeter of the objective. It was most noticeable at 18x.

The glass clarity was fantastic. The FFP BDC reticle was a little too large at 18x as well but that should be expected with a 4x zoom FFP reticle. The magnification of this scope was amazing too.

It's too bad the quality of build was so poor. I will return this scope and cannot recommend it. I will stick to my other 3 Nikon Prostaff scopes which I love and have given me no such issues.

Caveat: I received one of the earliest copies of this scope. Perhaps the quality will improve as production ramps up. Still, Nikon really disappointed me with this one.
