Some would argue that the Vortex Viper line of glass is a middle-of-the-road optic. Whether it's a pair of bino, a laser rangefinder like this one, a spotting scope, or a rifle scope, the Viper falls in the middle, with the razor being top tier and everything else falling beneath the Viper. I have the Viper spotting scope, the 10x42 HD binoculars, and this Lazer rangefinder. In my opinion, the Viper is SO good; paying often twice the amount more will only grab you a smattering of benefits. My 49-year-old eyes can't see the increased clarity from going one step up. If you're considering this rangefinder, look no further. The glass is stunningly clear, ranges very quickly, and is repeatable. If it's not repeatable, it's worthless. If you're considering this, it will not disappoint.
