I'm (arguably) a straight-up gear nerd. I like my cars, motorcycles, hockey and tactical gear squared away. As a consequence, I am picky (super picky) about what I buy and use. I'm also kind of a mizer, so being satisfied with a purchase can prove a difficult endeavor.
With these circumstances as a backdrop, I have to confess, I absolutely love this Taculus MX Chest Rig. The design is extremely well thought-out and executed. The designer(s) clearly had tactical and military experience, and then leveled-up with extensive attention to detail and customizing options for the user. The best way I can describe this rig is "simple yet sophisticated." For example, the buckles have magnets, which greatly assist the user when donning the rig and the zipper pulls received extra attention, resulting in a feature constructed with both ease of use and long-life in mind. Moreover, this chest rig can be set-up to differing levels of utility; it can be concealable, it can be fully loaded-up with extra equipment or somewhere in between. Lastly, I'm a sucker for black multi-cam, so there's that, too.
For the price, this rig is a no-brainer. It delivers a ton of useful features and options at a quality level that I would expect to result in a much higher price. If you're looking to scratch that hipster/vintage itch, this may not be what you're looking for. However, if you want a solid deal on a mission-flexible chest rig, this is for you.

This gas block provides the adjustability (and ease of use) that we all look for when we're tuning ARs with suppressors. The design is effective and if you have a handguard of the right length, you can adjust the gas with the handguard still installed. Instructions are supplied and even offer some tuning advice, which I appreciated. The only negative is it is nowhere near FDE, rather a shiny gold; like jewelry. It looks bitchin' but its anodized finish is awfully flashy for me.

Okay, Magpul; I'm impressed.
I'm old enough to remember when Magpul was a start-up, seemingly offering plastic parts for guns. I watched (and purchased quite a few P-mags, forend grips, etc) as Magpul matured and this stock is an excellent example of how far they have come.
The adjustability is brilliant in its simplicity and highly effective. It can be used for either a rifle buffer tube or a carbine (adjustable) buffer tube, which is very nice, not to mention its elegant and close-tolerance design. Lastly, this is not a light-weight, delicate gun stock. Rather, it is absolutely field grade and a real tank. I really like it and it's much more solid (no rattle or creaks) than any of my adjustable stocks.
So, in short, the PRS GEN3 stock is a nice piece of durable gear - which is also a piece of cake to install (directions are included for both set-ups). Well done, Magpul.

I use this magnifier in conjunction with a red dot. It is very clear and gets the job done well. I know other brands have their version of duty-quality magnifiers, usually for significantly more money, but let's face it; magnifiers are not an item that stresses a company's R&D resources, so hundreds of dollars for one seems unreasonable. Thank you (again) Vortex for bringing a quality item to market at a reasonable price.
The mount provided admittedly isn't as slick as a spring-loaded version but it still secures and folds away in a clean motion and without undue drama. My only grumble is that this item should come with lens caps.

I'm a Vortex loyalist and buy their optics almost exclusively. Unfortunately, the Razor is not their best design effort. I bought this to use on a CZ Scorpion, hoping to get it close to co-witnessing with the OEM sights. The mount on this version of the Razor is still too high but I could likely work around that, if it was the only issue. The deal-breaker is the placement of the on/off & brightness control buttons. The buttons are placed close to the lens and require you to have your finger in front of the lens & dot, making adjustments and activation/deactivation of the sight difficult. Additionally, if you're wearing gloves, the buttons are too small and lack sufficient tactile feedback to be a realistic option on any firearm which may be pressed into service without a lot of notice. This design needs to be re-worked, to say the least - pretty poor effort Vortex.
I have several Venom red dots and love 'em. The Razor, however, went back to OP.

I ordered two of these a few months back. When they arrived, I noticed a flaw that would drive me crazy if I kept them, mainly because it impacts opening the main pouch and the front pouch. One of the items had two zipper pulls on the top pouch and one pull on the front pouch. The other item had 1 zipper pull on the top pouch and two pulls on the front pouch. So neither item is correct (as least when comparing to the pics in the listing), as both items should have two zipper pulls on each pouch...or at least be consistent. The inconsistency of the zipper pulls makes opening each pouch a process of frustration, as you'd have to devote your entire attention to "is this the pouch with one zipper pull or two?" Okay not a big deal: I returned the items to OP and asked for an exchange. After a few days, I was notified this item was on back-order. Okay, I get it: lotsa supply chain issues in the world right now - I can wait.
The new items arrived yesterday and ... wait for it ... they have the exactly the same flaws as the previous ones OP sent me. Lousy quality control at VISM, no doubt. So should I exchange them again? My wife suggested I order two more and then keep the matching pair, whichever one it may be, and return the others. However, so far NONE of the items I have received are even correct.
I'm going to return the items, as they are defective, and move on to a different brand and different retailer. Less frustration, less waiting around and (hopefully) bette

I haven't used the charging handle in the field, as it is just one part of an on-going build. However, I am quite impressed with how well designed, built and finished it is. The latch positively locks on the upper receiver and the spring pressure to release the handle is sturdy without being too tight. I love things that are just a little "over-engineered," especially on the critical components of my truck, my tools and my firearms. Well done GA, I'll be coming back for more.
