I have tried virtually every brand of leather boot in search of one that fits my feet. I bought my first pair if Asolo 535s 20+ years ago. They fit my long, narrow feet perfectly. I wore those boots every single day for 12 years (sounds far-fetched, but true) both indoors and outdoors, working and playing. The leather was still in good shape, but the Vibram sole delaminated. I bought a second pair, and wore them intermittantly for 10 years; the sole delaminated on them, too. In 2019, Asolo changed the composition of the EVA midsole which was causing the delamination. I called Asolo to verify this; they assured me the new EVO (for Evolution) midsole would not deteriorate and lead to sole delamination. Asolo stated they had not received any reports of midsole failure with the new EVO boot (but it has only been 4 years). The new EVO midsoles are definitely configured differently than they used to be; I can only take their word on the composition. The fit and finish is the same; the best in any boot or shoe I have ever purchased. These boots do not have a gore-tex liner, and that is why I like them. I highly recommend these Asolo 535s, especially if you are of Northern European descent and have long, narrow feet.
