Great butt stock. Yes, it does have a spring in it. Yes, it is very stiff. If you're looking for more adjustablity, go with the GLCore models. I own both, and they have different uses, GL Shock is better for higher recoiling calibers such as AR 12's, works great on a VR 80. GL Core is better on your "standard" AR calibers.
Fit finish and feel are great, I also run the Fab-Defense AGR grip on all my builds it offers a nice rubberized grip with a good palm swell that fits my hand perfectly.

My second big boy Sight

This is my second optic from O.P. got it at a huge discount, works as advertised, no complaints thus far. It is solid and well-built muy 1st Burris great for mid range with the option to add a reflex sight for those more intimate engagements.
