Goal Zero Yeti 150 Solar Generator
I love this thing! I always have it in my car and use it mostly when camping or at my hunting cabin, which until recently had no electricity. It's great for charging phones/tablets/laptops, and I use it for charging lantern/ flashlight batteries and have also just plugged LED desk lamps right into it. It is (not unexpectedly) ridiculously heavy and I was a little concerned that the plastic handle (which feels a little cheap) wouldn't hold up, but so far I've had no problems with it. I have never charged it from empty with solar panels, but I have 2 Boulder panels that I made mounting brackets for on the roof of my Jeep and I use that to boost it back up to 100% when I'm camping or hunting. This thing holds a charge for much longer than it says it will- I will go 6 months without charging it and the battery is still nearly 100% when I check it again. I almost didn't buy this because there are tons of people online who go on about how you can build one for half the price, but frankly those look ghetto and I'm not into the idea of messing with electricity. This is very simple to use, self-contained, and very convenient to have around. I think it was worth every penny I spent on it.

Vortex Raptor 10x32mm Porro Prism Binoculars
I love these binoculars. I hadn't seen them in person before I bought them, but purchased anyway because I have a handful of other Vortex products and have never been anything but thrilled with their performance. These stand out because they are surprisingly sleek and smaller than I expected. They're not heavy, and they're definitely some of the least cumbersome porros I've used. Very nice, clear optics and easy to set up for my vision in both eyes (I've had trouble in the past with cheaper binoculars because I've got weird lopsided vision- nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other). I really can't recommend these enough, they may be one of the less expensive lines Vortex offers but there is nothing low-end or cheap at all about these. They perform just as well as the $2k Leica binos that I couldn't afford to replace after losing them in an extremely unfortunate "dropping them off a cliff" incident, and in hindsight I want to kick myself for spending that kind of money before when there are options like this out there.
I love the coating, it really feels secure to hold. Light transmission is great, size is fantastic, there really isn't anything bad I can say about these. They've been to Yellowstone, Glacier, on an Alaska Cruise, and to Hawaii with me so far as well as many hunting excursions and "wtf is that noise?" investigating while camping, and I've never once felt like they have failed to perform.
