Yes it’s expensive but with that being said you get what you pay for. Top quality manufacturing and finish. This is my second Atlas and I really needed something larger for both the MRAD and the M107a1. I’ve got limited experience in long range shooting but one fundamental rule stands in all cases, Stability. This product offers just that plus versatility. If your lacking stability in ELR shooting then your just wasting ammo and thus not improving the way you should. This bipod is user friendly and again top tier craftsmanship.
So I’ve got one of these on an AR-15 and I tired Brand x for my AR-10 now I know all of you gun enthusiasts love the the smell of cordite but when running suppressed and the cycle gas gets vented in your face like a crop dusting in the supermarket aisle it can turn your manly (or womanly) day at the range into coughing and black boogers. This charging handle works as advertised period. Great product, got a decently sized ambi grasp and most importantly it vents that freedom loving gas away from your face. At this point it’s going to be the only type of charging handle I buy.
I went ahead and ponied up the money and got this BCG. Excellent craftsmanship and it seemed to help with my rifle over gassing. Got a great finish easy to clean. Plus I’m happy that I’ve got my amateur home built rifle functional. I’m ready for the EMP, zombie apocalypse, communist invasion. But generally good solid weekend warrior time at the range.
I’ve just got to say the as I said in the title JP Enterprises has excellent craftsmanship. I have the mid length on my 6.5 creedmor and it’s excellent. But I have only one caveat regarding the AR 15 handguard, as far as I can surmise the AR15 handguard does not have enough clearance on an .875 barrel to clear an adjustable gas block. In my specific example I’ve got a Beowulf .50 the barrel is an .875 and through research there is not an adjustable gas block even a low pro that clears the handguard. So my basic deduction is if you are building anything with a .875 barrel with an AR15 receiver and you want to run an adjustable gas block this handguard will not clear your adjustable gas block. In ending I’m just sharing my experience to point out that I can’t return the handguard since it’s been installed and that’s costly lesson. I’m out the money spent. I hope this review helps anyone building there rifle and they don’t make the same mistake I did.
Well what can you say for a solid steel rod, not much subsequently. It is a finely crafted sizing rod with clear writing indicating its size. In my humble opinion it’s a bit on the pricy side but it’s better than paying a gunsmith to check your can but I digress. In the end you will save in time and money getting one.
