Completing the Look

Review for
Strike Industries SMC Charlie Top Rail
The top rail completes the SMC Charlie setup; without it, the build looks unfinished and lacks proper form. It allows a long pic rail for a BUIS or a quality optic. One factor is that the top rail requires the Extended Charging Handle by Strike, as no other method will rack the slide. The cost felt reasonable, and the Optics Planet offered a bundle for bot, which I took.
Another point is that if your SIG slide uses suppressor height sights like mine, the top of the sights may touch the rail’s underside, particularly the front sight. I chose to remove the sights from my slide. Alternatively, you could lightly shave the top of the sights to create clearance. The OEM regular sights are low enough to clear without issue.

Light, Compact, Sleek Handstop
Written on Jun 01, 2024
This foregrip is more of an angled handstop that I installed on a S&W M&P FPC PCC. Fits the polymer handguard perfectly, moreso than the metal one. Highly recommend!
