Ruger 10/22 FRT REVIEW

Works extremely well if you also, change the bolt to Volquartsen fire fly bolt. But remember to use subsonic ammunition, as recommended by Volquartsen, nothing above 1050 fps.

10/22 mars frt

These things are great.
Work really well with a Volquartsen fly weight bolt for using suppressed ammo.
They work with the regular bolt that comes with 10/22 but require 1250 fps or higher to operate the steel bolt.

If you want to run subs on the ruger frt from Mars triggers.
You need to replace your steel bolt for an aluminum bolt from Volquartsen.
Get the fire fly aluminum bolt and replace the standard ruger 10/22 bolt.
I did mine and then you dont have to use high velocity ammo.
Mine shoots 710 fps,835 fps,and 1050 fps all CCI ammunition. Caution do not shoot anything above 1050 fps using a Fire Fly bolt.
You will damage it.
But using Fire Fly is so much quieter wit a suppressor.
