Review for
Rearden MFG SPB Muzzle Brake
When looking for the optimal balance between a standalone muzzle device and a quick-detach suppressor mount, the Rearden MFG SPB stands out as an exceptional choice. After putting it to the test, I can confidently say this brake is perfect for my suppressor setup. The most significant benefit of the SPB for my application is how it acts as a sacrificial blast baffle inside my suppressor. By taking the brunt of the initial muzzle blast and unburnt powder, the single-port design significantly extends the lifespan of the suppressor's first baffle. When paired with a can, the taper-mount design interfaces flawlessly with Rearden's Atlas and Atlas XL systems, as well as Plan-B style mounts. The taper placed in front of the threads ensures a secure, repeatable seal that keeps the threads clean and prevents carbon-locking. Better yet, it achieves this solid lockup without relying on moving mechanical latches or collars that add unnecessary weight and potential failure points.
