I purchased two for converting two 7 round magazines to 8 rounds for my S&W 40 M&P Shield M 2.0. Actually, I was able to add +2 in the magazine making it 9 rounds.
You do need to use the plastic spacer that comes standard with the 7 round magazine, if you leave it off there will be a gap. I did have to file and grind some of the plastic spacer to fit over the locking plate. Not a big issue, and I got it to sit down flush. I have decided to buy two more extensions and two more magazines, so that I will have a total of 4 magazines with 9 rounds each.
