Proven Performer - 4th Purchase Says It All
Written on Nov 23, 2025
This is my fourth 407C, which tells you everything you need to know. Reliable, simple to operate, and cost-effective. When you find something that works, you stick with it.
The 407C delivers consistent performance without unnecessary features or complexity. It just works - every time. At this price point, you can't beat the value for a reliable carry optic.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable red dot without breaking the bank.

The PMAG10 magazines are just a great addition to my AR15 system. They are reliable components. I will purchase more.

Form vs Function
Written on Apr 06, 2025
The TRYBE Defense slide for my Glock 17 was pretty straightforward to install - no major headaches there. Quality-wise, it's decent but nothing spectacular - definitely in the "you get what you pay for" category.
One thing that really stands out is how light this slide is. While that might sound good on paper, it actually translates to noticeably more felt recoil when shooting 115 gr FMJ rounds. The lightweight design definitely changes the gun's handling characteristics.
Aesthetically, it looks pretty good on the gun. The styling is clean and gives my G17 a bit more personality than the stock slide.
The downside? I'd only recommend using this for static target practice. It's not something I'd trust for anything more demanding or for carry purposes.
Overall: Decent budget option if you want a different look and don't mind the increased recoil, but keep it to the range.

StrikeFire II Red Dot
Written on Apr 06, 2025
The Vortex Strikefire 2 is honestly a solid piece of kit without breaking the bank. Installation couldn't be simpler - just mount it, tighten it down, and you're good to go.
The build quality definitely surprised me - feels sturdy and well-made, not like some of the cheaper red dots that feel like they'll fall apart after a few range trips.
Zeroing was a breeze. Took maybe 15 rounds to get it dialed in perfectly at 50 yards. The adjustments are crisp and stay put once you've got them where you want them.
For the price point, this thing is a no-brainer. I'll definitely be picking up another one for my next build.
