How to get the right size
Written on Jul 24, 2017
The sizing information is not in the item description, but is was on the product tag when it arrived. The medium is 32"-38". It actually measures 35 1/2" from end to end and there should be a 'belly gap' of 3" - 9". I would assume that the small measures at about 29 1/2" long and the large at about 41 1/2" long. If you plan on wearing this directly over your pants and not over a long jacket or coat, order based on your pant waist size. The Velcro loops at either end of the front of the belt are perfect for a 2" belt. Now that I have the right size, I really like the belt.

Great Product

This is not a cheap part but you get what you pay for. The finish was flawless and the fit was perfect on my Mega Arms billet lower. I use a Magpul CTR stock and the stock still slides easily and locks firmly on the buffer tube. When building my AR, I was looking for a 7075 anti-tilt tube and an endplate that would accept a QD sling swivel and this fit the bill with a couple of bonuses. The ratcheting endplate eliminates the need to stake the castle nut. The fluted tube probably does nothing to enhance the function of the weapon but it sure looks nice if that is important to you. The extra drain holes will not likely be of value to me since I do not plan on submerging the rifle and then immediately firing it. However, if you run a suppressor the drain holes may help to redirect the amount of gas that otherwise comes through the charging handle opening and into the shooter's face.
There was only one small negative to this set up and it is the only reason I did not give this product five stars: I run a sling which can either be used as a two point or single point. When the rifle is clipped from the receiver and is hanging hands free, DON'T - repeat DON'T - try to fully collapse the stock without holding the weapon with your other hand if you are running a Magpul CTR or STR (and possibly others). The stock is not able to go forward far enough to lock in place but it will go far enough forward to depress the QD swivel button and your rifle will drop on the ground on its muzzle.

Quality Part

It installed much easier than mil-spec dust covers since it is a self contained unit with no need for the delta ring or handguard to hold the rod in place. There is no microscopic c-lip to lose if you decide to install it after your handguard or delta ring is already on the weapon. It fits perfectly, functions as it should and looks great on my Mega Arms billet upper with an Mlok handguard.
