Okay, watched reviews and been buying various flashlights - for tactical use and EDC. My baseline is a cheezy $47 Police Security flashlight with 600 Lumens I picked up at an Autozone one the way to a corn maze with the fam. This ProTac clocks in at nearly double the cost and it doesn't seem nearly twice the lumens. This ProTac is markedly light in comparison and has a much smaller profile as well as a pocket clip. If you slightly push the back cap you can temporarily light up and auto off once you cease depressing the button - but only with controlled pressure. Or you can fully push to click on or click off. The batteries on the interior "move" or "wobble" when you are walking around with the light so you can feel a slight vibration as they re-settle once movement stops (the suspension may be off a bit with too much space from side to side in the tube). If the lumens is what you are after it seems other tac lights may be less expensive but if the lighter weight and compactness is what you are looking for, then buy it now and move on to the next tool for your kit.
