Review for FLIR Systems Scout II 640 Thermal Night Vision Monocular
Bought in December 2018. Battery life diminished down to 2 hours after 4 years and picture clarity has suffered also. Had to send back in April 2024 because USB charging port became loose and lost electrical contact. Battery would not charge. Fair customer contact was responsive and sent me an RMA. Once received they said USB and battery replacement along with firmware update would cost $355. I reluctantly bit the bullet and agreed. Returned after 2 months. Battery and USB now good but picture is streaky; as if calibration not effective. Bought an AGM Taipan TM384 which is much much clearer than this Flir 640 for 1/3 the price.
