I bought this product because a friend recommended it. After looking at his and the quality of the goods, I decided to purchase one. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was not like the one my friend owned. Many of the pieces that were made of aluminum had been converted to steel thus increasing the weight of the product, which is great when you try to carry it around during the hunt. Additionally, when I went to install the shoulder strap, I found that the eyelet was not bored correctly and had to be drilled out to accept the strap, and it was not a strap issue, because it fit on the rifle correctly. Finally, the mounting ball once tight will not allow the eyelet to swivel, thus requiring perfect alignment when tightening, which is so easy in the field with limited tools. This used to be a good product, which is why I purchased it based on recommendation, and seeing what they used to make. Now that has changed, and the product is not what it used to be. If I could, I would return it.
