Binary Ballistic from United States, IL Public Profile

I own several AR15 style rifles, as well as their short barreled rifle/pistol style variants, all of which have red dot sights coupled with a magnifier. I recently bought a new AR15 with all of the trimmings, including a Geissele Super Dynamic Combat trigger, a 16" stainless steel, fluted, 8:1 twist rate barrel, with a nickel teflon coated upper and lower. For this rifle I wanted a magnifier that had a greater magnification than the 3x magnification that most offer. After doing some research, I took a gamble on ordering the Firefield 7x Tactical Magnifier. I say "took a gamble" because in my own mind I figured that a $60 magnifier would turn out to be garbage as the least expensive magnifier I currently own cost $300. I was wrong...

When I order the Firefield Magnifier, I also order the "Primary Arms Flip To Side Magnifier Mount - Standard Height 910034" which cost only $50. I figured I'd keep the cost low until I verified that the magnifier worked. As the reviews mentioned, the flip mount did require a strong pull and flip maneuver to change its position, but once the mount was attached to the rifle this was much easier to do.

The magnifier itself works excellent, it was exactly what I was looking for. I have it mounted with an EOTech red dot sight and it aligns perfectly. With a 7x magnification and the ability to focus the image, this magnifier provides
excellent groupings at 100, 200 and even 300 yards, along with the quick acquisition of targets at close range
