I have experience with Vertx LT featherweight pants, before they were discontinued, and those were my all time favorite pants. They were rugged, incredibly breathable and light, and I had no problem wearing them into the winter. People complain about the general LT pant design, but I have no quarrel with it at all. Some say its too baggy in the seat, and I say, great! I have a butt the ladies appreciate. That being said, how does this covert tactical pant compare? Well, let me say off the bat, you will like them overall. The fabric stretch and durability is the best I've seen anywhere, the look does not scream I have a knife in my pocket, the leather accents are totally functional, and add to the prestige of these pants...even if they are made in china. With both LT pants I had, they were both made in Mexico from US fabrics, so take that into account if you are a Made in US kind of guy. But this pant is a more expensive pant than those two, so I am going to assume that Vertx outsourced the making of this line to a decent factory in China, at least. Going back to the stretch, as a person who is turning 21 and will conceal carry soon, I feel confident with these pants to appendix or hip carry, although time will tell for sure. But where is the space to carry extra mags??? And I'm not even talking 4 or more for the tacticool bro, what about just for the sole extra mag? Back pockets - nope, not deep enough.
